Five (Ok, Six) Things You Need To Know, October 14th

Join the Friends of the Lynnfield Library, get an early jump on tomorrow's big book sale.

Today is Friday, October 14th. Here are five things you need to know.

Friends Of The Library: The Friends of the Lynnfield Library have their annual book sale Saturday at the Old Meeting House from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. However, there's a way to get an early look at all the titles that will be for sale – tonight at the Meetinghouse is a preview night from 6 to 8 p.m. for FOLL members. Not a member? Just join at the door.

Popcorn Sale Fundraiser: Stop by the South Lynnfield Post Office parking lot on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and buy some popcorn from Cub Scout Pack 47 to support scouting. Customers will also have the option of sending popcorn to U.S. troops serving overseas.

Looking For A Babysitter Tonight? Tonight, Lynnfield's 9th grade Cadette Girl Scout Troop 60452 will be raising funds for a trip next summer. You can register to bring your kids, aged 4-10 to the Centre Congregational Church basement and from 6 to 9 p.m., they will keep the kids entertained with crafts, a movie and pizza. Many of the girls are also first aid and CPR certified. $15 for one child, $25 for two siblings, and $30 for three or more. Pumpkin Breakfast: At 8 a.m. this Friday, October 14th, the Lynnfield Senior Center is having its Pumpkin Breakfast - $3 at the door. At 8:30 a.m., Lynnfield firefighter/EMT Jimmy Alexander will answer questions involving emergency medical calls.

LHS Sports: There are no games on the calendar for this afternoon. However, the LHS varsity football team has a 2 p.m. Saturday home game against Pentucket.

Fall Town Meeting: Just a reminder that the fall town meeting is this Monday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. at Lynnfield Middle School. . The list will also be featured Monday on Lynnfield Patch.
