Expect Delays Around Walnut Street Throughout Next Week

Today is Friday, April 15. Here are five things you need to know today:

Road Work: Lynnfield Police recently announced that motorists should expect heavy traffic on Walnut Street at Route 95 starting Monday, April 18 and lasting throughout the week because of ongoing road work. The police will be posting arrow boards to help direct drivers to alternate routes in light of the expected delays.

Lynnfield Pioneer Sports Action: In today's LHS sports action, the girls varsity and junior varsity softball teams both play in Amesbury at 3:45 p.m. The boys varsity lacrosse team is at home against Wakefield at 4 p.m., followed by a home JV game against that town.

Easter Production Starts Saturday: This weekend, the Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield will perform "The Promise," an Easter production that portrays the birth, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, on Saturday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. Additional shows are next weekend. Patriots Day: On Monday, the library and town hall will be closed for Patriots Day.

Senior Center Breakfast: If it's Friday, that means it's time for the weekly breakfast at the Senior Center at 8 a.m. Later that morning, there's a Zumba exercise class at 10:30 a.m.
