Do You Know Where This Was Taken?

Each week, Lynnfield Patch runs a photo taken somewhere in town and invites people to guess where it's from.

Something tells me that more than one Lynnfield resident knows exactly where this is - So would I have given this week's picture away if I used the title "Dost Thou Know Where This Was Taken?" For what it's worth, the vaguely Southwestern look of the place is making me hungry - but that's a whole other place in town.

Do you know where this was taken? Answer in the comments box below!

And I think this was the original Assumption church, wasn't it?

Nikki, it was.

Nikki---Thats what I thought to. Is not the church long gone? Having not lived in town for 55 years. I was a little hesitant to come up with that answer. Bye the way I am almost finished with the history of the property that was the original Lynnfield High School. Have been working on for over 3 months now.

Thanks for confirming that, Dorothy. Ernie, I do not know what this building is being used for now, but it is located between where Donovan's Liquors is and where the Dairy Queen used to be. That is some job you've undertaken! Am very much looking forward to reading that history.

Nikki Thanks for the info on the church. I am planning to send the little blurb about the high school and property to the Lynnfield Historical Society. I also have pictures of the old home.

Am hoping Bill will print Ernie's historical research piece on Patch.

You know I am going to print it Nikki! Ernie sent it along last week and I'm just waiting for the right spot in the editorial calendar to run it, had a couple of other stories come up in recent days to focus on.
