Chloe and Tiger Are A Sweet Pair Looking For New Love

Chloe and Tiger are a Sweet Pair Looking for New Love.

There we were, my sister (Chloe) and I, having a perfect life with our beloved owner, when she got sick and could no longer care for us.  We missed her terribly, and counted ourselves very lucky that her parents took us in.  But you know, they were not so young, and now they have moved to assisted living, where we are not allowed.  Can you imagine that?  Ok, we are not here to discuss the health care system.  But Chloe and I are a bit heartbroken under our brave demeanor.  We have had two big losses and that is not easy for any cat, let alone two loyal and loving felines like Chloe and me.

Thank goodness PAWS has taken us under their wing.  We are now in a lovely foster home and we have been promised that some very nice person or people are going to come and adopt us and end our string of bad luck.  So let us tell you a bit about ourselves and we can see if you are the one meant to be ours forever.

Loving is the adjective every single person who meets us uses to describe us.  If liking to be brushed and enjoying your bed at night is loving, then I guess that is us.  With all we have been through, Chloe has become a bit shy, so that is why I am speaking for her.  But I promise, once she gets to know you, she will be out and about, rubbing against your legs and asking to be picked up.  And you will want to pick her up for sure because she is a beautiful Maine Coon girl who, at seven years old, has her full coat and fuzziness.  She is very elegant and soft.  As you can see in the pictures, I do not have long hair, but my markings are striking and I must say I think I am a handsome fellow.  Chloe thinks so, too.

Chloe and I are low key kitties.  We spend our days lounging in the sun and sitting in the window.  Of course, when anyone is ready, we are up to play.  Our favorite toys are a laser pointer and anything that rustles at the end of a string.  And I guess I should admit it, we love a bit of the nip, catnip that is…as often as we can get it.  I won’t go so far as to say we are addicts, but we do love any and every toy that has catnip in it.  It makes us a bit crazy.  But because we are not kittens, but mature adults, we don’t go too nuts—just enough to get our exercise and make you laugh.

If we could pick, we would choose a home where we could be with loving humans who we don’t have to share with any other cats or dogs.  We don’t have experience with children.  If they come to visit I am certain that would be fine, but we are looking for a quiet home with adults.  Beyond that we are not at all picky.  Give us the chance to settle into your home, and you will find yourselves loved by two sweet siblings.  Does that sound good?  If so, please call PAWS.  And tell them you want to take home Tiger and Chloe and give them a forever home.

If you are interested in learning more about Tiger and Chloe, or any of our other available cats and dogs, contact PAWS at (781) 246-6111 or PAWSwakefield@yahoo.com or visit our website www.pawswakefield.org. Different animals will be at each location.

Join us on Saturday, November 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Low-Cost Rabies and Microchip Clinic to be held at the North Reading Town Hall (235 North Street), staffed by the Park Street Veterinary Clinic as a benefit for PAWS. Rabies vaccinations are 15$ (bring proof of prior vaccination for three-year vaccine) and 25$ for microchips. All Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers. Cash only (no credit cards or checks can be taken).
