Children's Author To Visit Lynnfield Students Later This Month

Five Things You Need To Know Today: Tuesday, April 5

Today is Tuesday, April 5. Here are five things you need to know today:

There is a school committee meeting at 7 p.m. in the Lynnfield High School media room. There is a board of appeals meeting at town hall at 7:30 p.m.

In sports action, the girls softball players are scrimmaging at Newton South High School while the boys varsity lacrosse players scrimmage in North Reading.

The board of trustees has a meeting at 5 p.m. at the library. All are welcome. For next week, the library is preparing for the Art in Bloom exhibit throughout the week, as well as a Monday Passover event from 4-5 p.m. with the Robert Lappin Foundation of Salem.

The next meeting of the the Special Education Parent Advisory Council  (PAC) will provide an opportunity to meet and greet Kara Mauro, the newly appointed Interim Director of Special Services.   The meeting is next Wednesday, April 13 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at the , 525 Salem Street. Children's Author Coming To Town: On Monday, April 25, Maine children's book author Lynn Plourde will be visiting with grade K-2 students at . On Tuesday, April 26th she will be visiting K-2 at Summer Street School. Plourde has had twenty-four picture books published, including her newest "The Blizzard Wizard."
