Brian Maes Band To Play On Lynnfield Common

Next summer concert is Wednesday, July 20 from 6-8 p.m.

The popular Brian Maes Band returns to the Lynnfield Library Concerts on the Common series this Wednesday July 20 from 6-8 p.m. (rain date Thursday). The show will combine various musical styles such as rhythm & blues, contemporary and pop rock.  

Berklee College of Music graduate Brian Maes is a keyboardist and lead vocalist accompanied by talented band members including guitar player and Lynnfield native Kook Lawry.  Also a singer/songwriter, Maes composed “When Your Love Comes Back Around” a song that hit #26 on the Billboard National Charts.

Maes is a former member of  RTZ , a band that featured musicians from the popular group Boston, and has been a national anthem singer for the Boston Celtics.  Most recently, Maes has been playing with “Ernie and the Automatics” and just returned from a tour where they opened for the band “Deep Purple”.

The Brian Maes Band is sponsored by Northrup Associates Realtors.  The newly formed charity Journeys of Hope for homeless young adults will run the fundraising refreshment table selling Kayem hot dogs, snacks and drinks.  Intermission entertainment provided as a courtesy by Lynnfield dancers Holly Bourdon and Laura Ricciardone, who received their training from LaPierre School of Dance in Reading.  The free children’s activity is a sand art table.

New to the Summer Series is a Lynnfield Farmer’s Market on South Common Street (co-sponsored by Lynnfield Recreation).  Fresh produce and other items will be available for purchase from local farms during the concert.

Raffle tickets will be sold at all concerts to encourage donations.  Proceeds will be used to defray costs and enhance the Lynnfield Summer Concerts experience.  This week’s raffle prizes have been donated by: Market Basket, Westside Restaurant, and Starbucks in Reading.  All donations are very much appreciated so please give generously.
