What's Going On During MarketStreet's Grand Opening?

Retailers offering specials during grand opening weekend, Lynnfield did "Live Mannequin" yoga for Lululemon, and some things coming up.

With the MarketStreet Lynnfield development having opened up this week, here’s an updated look at what’s going on so far. According to the MarketStreetLynnfield.com website, the following stores celebrated their grand openings on Thursday. Others will continue to open throughout the fall:

Whole Foods (Wednesday), Starbucks, Lululemon Athletica, White House/Black Market, Carhartt, Chico’s, Jos. A Bank, J.Jill, IT’SUGAR, Justice, Davio’s, Yankee Candle, Hot Mama, and The Paper Store.   This article that ran back in February on Lynnfield Patch includes many of these names, as well as a few of the still to be opened places.

Dina Metrano, who was interviewed by Lynnfield Patch when she featured in an article last year in “Shape” magazine on the importance of exercise in fighting depression, was a “live mannequin” performing yoga at the Lululemon grand opening Thursday afternoon at MarketStreet, she told Lynnfield Patch in an email this week. Metrano is a Lynnfield mom who is a fitness instructor in Wakefield at Pumps - Real Fitness for Women and a Yoga/Pilates Instructor at The Dance Studio of Wakefield. 

Winston Flowers Now Open at Whole Foods

Winston Flowers reports that it is launching a “marketplace concept within a store” at its newest location in the Whole Foods at MarketStreet. Winston is reportedly a third-generation family-owned flower shop based in Boston.

“Winston Flowers at Whole Foods Market is founded and inspired by Maynard Winston’s original pushcart beginnings on Newbury Street, and in the same retail spirit, will offer fresh bunched flowers, mixed bouquets, small plants and select pre-made arrangements, all merchandised ‘in the open.’” stated a company announcement.

The Paper Store Comes To Town

The Paper Store celebrates its grand opening at MarketStreet between now and Sunday, August 25. During this time, the company reports that guests can receive exclusive discounts, fun product demos, exciting giveaways, Spotlight Fashion Stops, and more.

“The Paper Store is eager to bring our signature brand of knowledgeable service and diverse product selection - as well as exclusive book signings, charity events, and much more - to the shoppers of MarketStreet Lynnfield,” said the company in an announcement this week. The Paper Store is a family-owned chain of about three dozen specialty gift shops throughout New England. 

Grand Opening Party Coming Up at J.Jill

J.Jill, which opened at MarketStreet Lynnfield on Thursday, recently announced that it will hold its grand opening party on Saturday, September 7, with a portion of the day’s proceeds to benefit Wellspring House in Gloucester.

Enter to Win at Loft

Loft reports that during its upcoming grand opening week (Friday, Aug. 30 through Sunday, Sep. 1), shoppers will receive a special tote on purchases of $75 or more, and they can also enter to win a $250 Loft shopping spree and personal styling session.

Big Sale at Hot Mama

Hot Mama, the women’s clothing retailer, reports that everything in the store is 15% through Sunday the 25th.

Yard House Opens Sept. 5

While many MarketStreet businesses marked their grand openings on Thursday, others will open throughout September and October. One high-profile upcoming opening is the Yard House, on Thursday, Sept. 5.
