Several Ways to Show Support for Local Marathon Victims

Area bomb victims see strong show of support from local residents.

Area residents who missed Sunday's fundraiser for local marathon bombing victims can still help out by sending a check or by stopping at one of several local businesses to buy some recently made decals to support the Marc, JP and Paul Marathon Victims Fund.

On Sunday afternoon and evening, Representatives from the Boys and Girls Clubs and from several local businesses manned tables featuring raffle items, "Boston Never Forget" decals, and more. The Boston Never Forget decals are available for $5 each at Diagnostic Motor Vehicle Inspections, Sardella Sign and Graphics, Chuck Wagon Diner, all in Wakefield. On top of that, the four Dockside restaurants donated 10% of the day's entire sales to the cause.

JP and Paul Norden, the local brothers who each reportedly lost a leg in the Marathon bombing, have reportedly been regular customers at the restaurant, further adding to the local connection.

If you'd like to make a donation, mail it to: Stoneham Marathon Victims Fund, c/o Stoneham Bank, 80 Montvale Ave., Stoneham, MA 02180.
