Lynnfield Decorator Participating in Maine Design Event

Lynnfield-based interior designer Yvonne Blacker joins two colleagues with work in Old York Decorator Show, with work on display though Aug. 15.

Lynnfield decorator Yvonne Blacker is among the participants in the annual Museums of Old York Decorator Show House fundraiser in Maine. The event runs this year in Kittery Point, Maine through Thursday, August 15 and is at Secret Cove, 2 Lawrence Lane.

In an email to Lynnfield Patch, Blacker provided the following information about the project:

“I have done two rooms in the show as part of a design collaboration: Trio Design (Katherine Hawkins did a teen girls bedroom, I did the adjoining bath, Rosanne Palazola did an entry way and I did the adjoining Petite Powder Room based on the aesthetic of fashion designer Jason Wu, who designed two inaugural gowns for First Lady Michelle Obama - framed print photo attached, wallpaper from Farrow & Ball). My spaces were updated with fixtures from the Designer Bath showroom in Beverly.”

The Secret Cove show house sits on Lawrence Cove overlooking the town of New Castle, NH on Great Island. It is located in one of the early sections of Kittery, which was settled in 1623 and incorporated into the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1652 a few days prior to York.
