Lynnfield-Based Hood Partners With Hershey On New Milkshake
Regional dairy company, founded in 1846, now has milkshake drinks with Hershey's among its product line.
Lynnfield-based Hood and Hershey's have announced a special dark milkshake flavor, building on a partnership the two companies established in 2010.
According to a company announcement, the Hershey's Special Dark Milkshake is the latest addition to its line of single-serve refrigerated products. The new flavor is expected to be available at retailers nationwide in 12-ounce single serve bottles starting in March.
"We have been pleased with the success of HERSHEY'S Milk & Milkshakes to date and are excited to expand our product offerings," said Lynne Bohan , spokesperson for HP Hood LLC. "Special Dark continues to be a popular flavor and it was a natural progression of the line to add this flavor."
The product line includes several other flavors, including cookies 'n creme and strawberry, and is reportedly made with real sugar and no corn syrup.
Hood was founded in the local area in 1846 and is currently the largest dairy brand in New England.
