Kings at MarketStreet Taking Shape for Fall Opening

Kings bowling alley and restaurant coming to MarketStreet Lynnfield this fall. Here's a look at what we can expect.

The future Kings at MarketStreet Lynnfield is rapidly taking shape at the development off Route 128.

The bowling alley/restaurant/night spot will make Lynnfield its fifth location, having started in Back Bay about a decade ago. More recently, the company has opened locations in the Chicago and Orlando area and is eyeing several new openings per year looking ahead.

The first businesses at MarketStreet Lynnfield are expected to open in late August. Kings will open somewhat later, possibly September or October, reported Kings Senior Vice President of Operations Josh Rossmeisl.

Rossmeisl emphasized the food as the main attraction at Kings, saying that "we're a restaurant that happens to have bowling." There will reportedly be a burger on the menu for as little as $4 even with a ground chuck/brisket mix. Other menu items will range from pan seared scallops to steak tips and pulled pork. The restaurant will reportedly feature its own pizza oven as well as a large smoker for turkey as well as ribs and pulled pork.

Along with bowling, the Kings at MarketStreet Lynnfield will be home to an indoor bocce court, as well as several pool tables, regulation shuffleboard, and TVs with a large ticker showing sports results. A separate space will be used for parties, corporate functions, and other events. Rossmeisl noted that other Kings locations have hosted events featuring well-known athletes such as Jerod Mayo.

Kings will also be a 21+ establishment during the evening hours, with an official time, potentially around 6 p.m., still to be determined.

The images included here show the construction site as it looked on Friday, July 19. When open, Kings will reportedly be a short drive beyond the Whole Foods, with a sign that should be visible from near the MarketStreet entrance.
