Holiday Hours Approved For MarketStreet Lynnfield

Hours for development's first holiday season in business would kick in day after Thanksgiving.

Lynnfield Selectmen have approved holiday shopping hours for MarketStreet Lynnfield that would begin on Friday, Nov. 29 and run through Christmas Eve. Shops would re-open for normal business hours on Thursday, December 26.

For the period from Nov. 29 through Dec. 24, the retail shops at MarketStreet Lynnfield that choose to extend their hours will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Hours for the restaurants will not be changed.

Also at Monday's meeting, selectmen voted to approve a request from National Development to allow MarketStreet businesses offering fitness and personal care services such as day spas, to open as early as 6 a.m. during the week.

Ted Tye, managing partner of National Development, indicated that several restaurant tenants have inquired about seeking approval from the selectmen for later operating hours. However, suggested that this request is likely to be put off until the restaurants have had a year of operating experience in their new location, which would be late around late next summer.
