Historical Society Seeking Twinkies To Raffle Off At Fundraiser

The Historical Society celebrates its 50th anniversay at the Country Store event on Dec. 1. And they hope to be able to raffle off a pack of Twinkies.

The following is an announcement from the Lynnfield Historical Society:

One UNOPENED pack of TWINKIES  sought as a donation for
LYNNFIELD OLD MEETING HOUSE COUNTRY STORE FUNDRAISER on Dec 1.

The Lynnfield Historical Society wants to celebrate its 50th Anniversary by raffling off a pack of Twinkies as part of its Country Store fundraiser on Dec 1 (this is the group's only fundraiser and it is used to support the preservation of Lynnfield's Old Meeting House). Please check your office vending machines and neighborhood stores for a TWINKIE.

According to the Lynnfield Historical Society..."The meetinghouse is thought to be the third oldest Puritan meetinghouse in New England still standing on its original "green," and it claims to be the second oldest active meetinghouse in New England. Built 61 years before the Revolutionary War, it is older than the Old South Meetinghouse, Faneuil Hall, or King's Chapel in Boston."

Contact Karen Colby  at colbyproperties@verizon.net, if you can donate a TWINKIE. Lynnfield Historical Society has a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status
