Guarracino Elected NECA President For '12

The following is an announcement from J.M. Electrical Co. of Lynnfield:

J.M. Electrical Company, Inc., premier professionals in advanced automated building system installations, announced today that President Paul Guarracino has been elected President of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for 2012. Guarracino served as NECA president once before, in 1998-99, and has been an active member for over 25 years.

“I am pleased to announce Paul Guarracino as the new president of NECA,” said Glenn Kingsbury, Executive Manager, NECA Boston chapter. “Given his successful track record over the years throughout the industry, and the parallels between his own high standards for quality work and professionalism, we know he’s the perfect fit to lead us in the years ahead.”

In his role as President, Guarracino will be responsible for overseeing all association committees, as well as manage all relations between unions and contractors. In addition to internal duties, Paul will also be the public figure to advocate for industry growth and foster innovation nationally for this technically important industry.

“As a NECA member for the past 25 years, I am proud to be a part of this respected association devoted to the contracting industry,” said Guarracino. “I am honored once again by the opportunity to enhance and grow an organization that has been an important part of my career over the years.”

Highlights of Guarracino’s past involvement in addition to his tenure as president in 1998 include serving on the 2010 Negotiating committee for NECA’s most recent collective bargaining agreement, and serving on the Board of Directors.

NECA is a national organization serving the management interests of the $130 billion electrical contracting industry. NECA members perform the vast majority of the nation’s power and information systems work and are the technical contractors of choice for installing and managing electrical systems.
