Eastern Mountain Sports To Hold MarketStreet Grand Opening

Outdoor retailer Eastern Mountain Sports announced that the grand opening of its new store at MarketStreet Lynnfield takes place this weekend, September 27-29. 

The 8,900 square foot store will feature an extensive selection of outdoor apparel and gear for adults and youth participating in backpacking, camping, outdoor fitness, climbing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and hiking, said a company announcement, noting that many leading brands will be available at the store. 

“We were founded in Massachusetts in 1967, and the North Shore has been an important market for us since we opened our first store here in 1987,” said Jim Petty, CEO of Eastern Mountain Sports. “This location in Lynnfield presents an opportunity to improve our customer experience by offering more products, brands, and service in a fresh environment. We appreciate our loyal customers and look forward to seeing them and serving new enthusiasts in this exciting store."

A portion of the weekend’s proceeds will be donated to Ipswich River Watershed Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting nature and ensuring clean water for people, fish and wildlife.
