Lynnfield Cultural Council Announces 2013 Grants

A number of activities and events sponsored in town through state cultural council funds. Lynnfield Cultural Council also seeking volunteers for next year.

The Lynnfield Cultural Council received $3,870 in local cultural council allocations for 2013. The money is distributed from state lottery funds to all cities and towns in Massachusetts. Below is a list of how those funds will be used in the coming year for Lynnfield residents:

New Rep.Theater will present Classic Theater at the Lynnfield High School.

Village Garden Club receives funds for for the Lynnfield Library Art in Bloom display and program mid March.

Standing Room Only for Big Band Music Sounds,  April 27 at the Unitarian Universalist Church in downtown Wakefield.

Student Show Tickets for the Stoneham Theater.

Delvena Theater, Me and Julia Child at the Senior Center.

Lynnfield Cultural Council, Wicker, Cane, Traditional Crafts Display, Old Meeting House, May 17 & 18.

HHS Enrichment for Reading Poetry Series, Huckleberry Hill School.

Watercolor Demonstration, Lynnfield Art Guild, at the senior center.

Lynnfield Senior Center for Mark Twain program.

Kendall Inglese for Cultural Counter Radio Show series, Feb – June on 104.9FM.

Each year the Mass Cultural Council funding  allocates lottery money from the state to 351 towns including  Lynnfield, thanks to our state representatives. This year $3,800 was allocated for the arts, literature, history and interpretive science programming.
