Lynnfield Art Guild Announces Judged Show Winners

LAG's annual spring arts and crafts judged show was held last Saturday.

Thanks to the Lynnfield Art Guild for the following information:

The LAG  (Lynnfield Art Guild) annual spring fine arts and crafts judged show on Saturday May 18 featured the work of dozens of talented local artists.  The Judges gave the following awards:

Best in Show to Jeannette Corbett for “The Artist.” 

The Judges awarded for Paintings Under Glass: First Prize to Jane Booras for “Yummy”; Second Prize to Audrey DiPillo for “Untitled 1” and Third Prize to Jeannette Corbett for “Tango Dancers #2”. 

For Paintings Not Under Glass, First Prize was awarded to Susan Manning O’Briant for “The Capt’n”; Second Prize to Maureen Munroe for “Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”; and Third Prize to Theresa Gambardella for “The Promise of Spring”.

Eleanor Accettullo won First Place for crafts for “Quilled Swan” and Beth Aaronson took 1st Prize for photography for “Crane’s Beach Riders.” 

The popular vote was split between two paintings: Jane Booras’s “Yummy” and Hedy Sanni’s “Quiet Village.”  Honorable Mentions were awarded to Jeannette Corbett, Anthony Accettullo, Andrea Maglio-Macullar, Lorraine O’Brien, Jane Booras, Ginny Dodwell, Maureen Munroe, Donna Barnes, Carol Wilson and Maureen Barrett.

First Prize for a High School Student Artist was awarded to Sydney Nekoroski for “Dad and I”; second Prize to Colleen Ellison for “Self Portrait” and Third Prize to Max Lang for “Imagination Anywhere”.  Honorable Mention was awarded to High School students Grace Colbert, Serene Elbach, Simon Gagliardi and Audrey Ruecker.

The Special Awards with prizes were as follows: The Wakefield Cooperative Bank $100.00 award to Hedy Sanni for “Quiet Village”; The Wakefield Cooperative Bank $50.00 award to Lynnfield High Student Colleen Ellison for “Self Portrait”; and the Wood End Studio Award of $50.00 tow

There were four raffles: The jewelry set donated by Jane Booras was won by Dorrie Lauzon ; the $25 Wakefield Coperative Bank raffle was won by Eleanor Accettullo; the Frame One $25 gift certificate was won by Carol Gallagher; and the 99 Restaurant $25 gift certificate was won by Ann Medina. The framed geranium painting donated by Louise Anderson as a silent auction went to highest bidder Dolores Venetsanakos.
