Friends Of The Lynnfield Library Seeking Book Donations

FOLL Used Book Sale coming up in October.

Note: The following is an announcement from the Friends of the :

In preparation for the popular annual Friends of Lynnfield Library Used Book Sale in October, the Friends organization is actively seeking donations of adult, children and young adult hard cover books and paperbacks, music CDs, and DVDs.

To make it as easy as possible for residents to donate materials, the Friends offer a home pick-up service.  If you have paperbacks, hardcover books, music CDs, or DVDs to donate, simply call Friends’ Board member Alexis Gilbode at 781-608-4179 to arrange a time for a Library Friends volunteer to pick up, and provide a receipt for, your donation at your home.

Boxed or bagged donations may also be left at the circulation desk, in the Library foyer, or in the large blue container located at the bottom of the Library entrance ramp.  Small and large adult paperbacks, DVDs, music CDs, and hardcover or paperback children’s and young adult books are needed.

“With the recent proliferation of book donation options in town, we realize people have to make choices about where they donate materials,” said Nancy Ryan, Director of Lynnfield Library.  “We hope people will consider sharing their donations.  This is historically our primary fundraiser.  Donations to the Book Sale support the Library 100 percent.  Items that go unsold will be offered to benefit other local community organizations.”
