Friends Of Library Hold Annual Meeting May 9

Book donations also sought for annual fundraiser sale at Geraniumfest.

Note: The following is a press release from the Friends of the Lynnfield Library:

On Monday, May 9, 2011 the Friends of the Lynnfield Library will hold its Annual Meeting on the library mezzanine. There will be a short business meeting at 6:30 p.m. that will include  a summary of the past year's activities, financial reports, and the election of new officers,  followed by a fascinating and timely program at 7 p.m.

Beth Gallaway, an adjunct professor at Simmons College, will talk about Twitter and Facebook in "Social Networking: Meeting Users Where They Are." Beth Gallaway says that, “If Facebook were a country, it would have the third largest population in the world…. [we will] discover how to use social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Flicker and Foursquare to promote, publicize and fund raise for the Friends and the library.”
