Local Culinary Enthusiasts Meet Monthly at Library

Curious About Cuisine group recently swapped holiday cookies.

Once a month, Lynnfield's culinary enthusiasts meet at the to share recipes, head out to visit local specialty stores, or learn about new cooking techniques.

Previous meetings of the group have featured a presentation on Tuscan cooking, outings to health food and cheese shops and bakeries, and more, including a Julia Child-themed gathering.

According to Library Director Nancy Ryan, the Curious About Cusine group has been meeting since September 2006. Meetings typically last for an hour.

"It's people from all walks of life, age groups and interests," said group member Barbara Adams, "The commonality is the love of food and the curiosity of baking or cooking."

The latest gathering, held Wednesday, featured a traditional cookie swap where members brought several dozen of their own cookies and returned home with an assortment of other types.
