Where:          Lynnfield Town Common

You and your family are invited to join in the fun for the seasonal lighting of the trees on the Lynnfield Town Commons.  As always, the Tree Lighting will cap our holiday festivities beginning that morning with the Historical Society’s Country Store which will be held at the Meetinghouse.

Starting at 3:00 PM, enjoy some refreshments handed out by Girl Scout volunteers.  Keep an eye out for Santa, who will be arriving to hand out candy canes to the children.  Bring your camera as you will have an opportunity to have your picture taken with Santa.  The Girl Scouts of Lynnfield and the Tri-M Music Honor Society from Lynnfield High School will kick off the Community Singing segment of the event, which will feature holiday selections.  The festivities will conclude with the lighting of the trees at approximately 4:45 PM that evening.

Also, back this year will be the judging of the Gingerbread House Contest which will be set up on Friday night and open to the public for viewing on Saturday from 10 AM to 5:30 p.m. at the Centre Congregational Church.  Gingerbread forms are available online at http://www.town.lynnfield.ma.us/Pages/LynnfieldMA_BComm/recreation/index
