The Centre Club of the North Shore Celebrates the Spirit of Halloween

The Centre Club of The North Shore gathered on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013 and celebrated the spirit of Halloween with a special appearance by Laura Lee, a spiritual medium, who spoke on and demonstrated “When Angels Whisper: Communicating with Spirit”.  Laura Lee, a Wakefield resident, became aware of her gifts “ the ability to communicate with spirit and those who have past, after experiencing a near-death experience in her early twenties. While demonstrating her abilities, Laura reminded us that our loved ones who have past are only a thought away and are always with us in spirit whenever we need them. More information on Laura Lee and her story can be found on www.lauralee4441.com

During the business portion of the meeting President Nan Hockenbury spoke about the club’s upcoming Christmas holiday schedule: the Centre Club’s Annual Holiday Meeting and Celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 4th and participation in the Lynnfield Country Store on Saturday, December 7th.  In addition to being festive occasions and lots of fun, both events help support the club’s charities including the Windows of Hope located at the Beth Israel Hospital and the Centre Club Scholarship, a $1,500 scholarship given out once a year to a Lynnfield High School graduating senior.

The club also supports local, small businesses owned and operated by women. For our October meeting, Twisted Stems, a Lynnfield floral and design business was featured. Owner and operator Doreen D’Agostino of Lynnfield donated a beautiful fall wreath to help in the club’s raising activities.
