Over 150 Women Gather for Annual Mother’s Day Celebration

BOSTON, MA–Volunteers of America, Massachusetts, 19th Annual I Remember Mama event kicked off last Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 am – 12:00pm at the Hilton Boston Logan Airport.  The event was a true success, celebrating 150 local mothers in the Boston Community who would otherwise be alone or without family on Mother’s Day.

With the support from volunteers, staff and corporate sponsors, based locally and nationally, Volunteers of America provided all guests with a day of companionship, breakfast, entertainment, and gifts.  I Remember Mama was hosted by former WCVB-TV Channel 5 News Anchor Susan Wornick, alongside her mother, Myrna Billian, who has been dedicated to this heartwarming event since it first began in 1995.
