Town Holds Annual 9/11 Remembrance Wednesday Morning

Lynnfield's annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony is this Wednesday, September 11th at 8:30 a.m. in front of Fire Department Headquarters, next to town hall at 59 Summer Street. All first responders and citizens are invited to attend.

The 10th annual OD’s Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, September 22nd 2013, in memory of Johnny O’Donnell.   The road race and walk will begin and end at Lynnfield High school, starting at 10:00 a.m. (registration begins at 8:30.)  This professionally timed event includes awards to the top three runners in each age division (M/F), raffles and t-shirts to first 150 pre-registered.  Pre-registration fee is $15 and $20 on day of event.  All proceeds to benefit the John O’Donnell Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by Sports Medicine North and Friends.   We are seeking runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers to take part in this special event.  Additional information and online registration available at www.odsrunwalk.weebly.com.  Contact Karen Mahon at 508-528-1286 or  odsrunwalk@comcast.net. 

From The Lynnfield Senior Center: Lunch and an afternoon with Mark Twain: Come and enjoy a delightful look at the life and work of one of America’s foremost humorist. Enjoy his special brand of storytelling, wit and wisdom. A southern inspired lunch will be served. Tuesday, Sept. 24th at 11:30.
