Musical Events And More Coming Up In The Area

Today is Thursday, January 2. Here are five things worth knowing today.

On the second and fourth Friday of the month, the Lynnfield Community Church at 735 Salem Street hosts a coffeehouse style concert. Coming up on Friday, January 10, Daniel Chauvin plays. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Free will donation for the performers. 

Bluegrass band Southern Rail performs at the next Linden Tree Coffeehouse event at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Main Street in Wakefield – Friday, January 11 at 8 p.m. Click here to learn more.  

On Saturday, January 18 at 8 p.m., Betty’s Bounce, playing music in the style of Django Reinhardt, plays at Temple Emmanuel, 120 Chestnut Street in Wakefield. Tickets at the door $15 for adults, $10 for under 13.

Coming up on Monday, January 6 at 6:45 p.m., the Wakefield Choral Society has an open rehearsal scheduled at Wakefield High School. The first three rehearsals on January 6,  13 and 20 are open to new members. Click here to learn more.
