Little League Registration, Author Lecture Among This Week's Events

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Monday, November 18. Here are five things worth knowing today.

The Lynnfield Little League reports that it’s having an in-person registration on Tuesday, Nov. 19 and Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lynnfield High School cafeteria.

Historian and author Anthony Sammarco will discuss his new book “The History of Howard Johnson’s: How a Massachusetts Soda Fountain Became a Roadside Icon” on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Old Meeting House (617 Main Street). This Thursday, Nov. 21 from 4 to 5 p.m., the Lappin Foundation holds a Chanukah party at the Lynnfield Library. Email posher@lappinfoundation.or if you would like to attend, or call 978-740-4404.

Town Business: The Lynnfield Selectmen meet tonight at 7 p.m. at town hall.

The Lynnfield School Committee will interview Jane Tremblay, principal of the Summer Street School, for the superintendent position this Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Huckleberry Hill School all-purpose room. The public is welcome to observe the interview.
