Library's BookLovers Group Holds First Meeting Of Season

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Thursday, September 12. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

This evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Lynnfield Library’s BookLovers group holds its first meeting of the season, on the library mezzanine. Members will discuss some of the recent books they’ve read. All are welcome.

A new season of coffee house events is underway at the Lynnfield Community Church on Salem Street. Concerts are the second and fourth Fridays of the month, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and music starting at 7:45 p.m. Coming up on Friday, September 27 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Andrew Geano performs.

Local nonprofit group BKP, which sends donated children’s books to library in the Phillippines, is holding its annual Dinner Dance on Saturday, October 19 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the Wakefield Elks Lodge, 63 Bay State Road. Community Art Show: The Friends of Lake Quannapowitt are holding a community art show later this fall at the Americal Civic Center. The show opens Nov. 8 and members of the community are invited to submit a variety of media. Click here for complete information
