Local Artists and the Community will celebrate Art at the Lynnfield Arts Festival on Saturday May 4th at the Lynnfield Meeting House and on the Common 
The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is delighted to announce that its Spring Arts Festival will offer a Judged Arts Show and Sale and an opportunity for the public to create art, observe artists at work and interact with local artisans and organizations. Join the festivities on Saturday May 4th from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Meeting House, 617 Main Street, and on the Common. There will be vendor and artisan tables, creative activities including free face painting for kids, live music and dance, a bake sale, raffles, and prizes. The Guild is proud to again host a booth with Tiny Art and larger donated works. Local organizations and Town committees with booths include Centre Congregational Church, Girl Scouts Troop 8259, Friends of the Library, Library Foundation, Lynnfield for Love, Lynnfield Rail Trail, Lynnfield Rotary, Lynnfield Tree Committee, the Lynnfield Veterans/American Legion and the Village Home and Garden Club. 
Guild members Yvonne Blacker, Steve Grieco and Anne Mullen will demonstrate their art on the Common. Sixteen artisan tables on the Common include Kola Tree, Kish Pots, April Rose Jewelry, Grateful Tastes, Kingdom of Ceramics, Fascinating Pearls, Create a Dream with Busy Fingers, Brewster Road, EJW Designs, Blue Aster Photography, Helen Coukos, Sasquatch Woodworks, Judy Moriarty, Nicole Werth Designs, Natalia Zvontsova, and Judith Armistead. LAG members exhibiting in booths on the Common include Kendall Inglese Lark Studio, Lisa Hertel Cogitation Zone, Heidi Reynolds Re-Create Studio, Rick Obey Roventeur and Dan Abenaim Paintings. 
In the Meeting House over a hundred pieces of original art and photography by Guild Artists will be for sale along with works by Lynnfield High School art students will be held alongside and artists. At the start of the show there will be an Announcement of both the ribbon winners chosen by the judges: painter Terry Christopher; photographer Frank McDonough and artwork creator Annette Sykes. Several cash prizes will be awarded by the Savings Bank. Also inside the Meeting House will be the Guild’s famous bake sale of individually wrapped goods, a fabulous raffle and a silent auction. The raffle includes a Lottery Tree, restaurant gift cards, original art and gift baskets and the silent auction is for two former LAG presidents’ paintings Where Surf Meets Rock
(Michael B. Karas) and Glass Jars and Baskets (Helen Malcolm). 
Outside on the Common, D.J. John Bohn will entertain the attendees until the 1 PM performance of the local dance and cheerleading senior group the POMtastics followed by a two set 2 PM return concert by jazz and swing band The Swamptones. The Guild is grateful for its many supporters, sponsors and volunteers who are making the Arts Festival possible.

Build A Bed is returning to Market Street in Lynnfield on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
In 2022 Lynnfield Rotary hosted its first Build A Bed project producing ten beds for children in Massachusetts. Last year ninety-one volunteers built twenty-two beds, exceeding our goal. We are optimistic for 2024 to be our best year.
Lumber, hardware, tools, and expert instruction to construct the bed frames will be provided. People will work in groups of up to four builders.
The beds cost $350 each. Upon completion, a mattress will be added, and the finished product will be delivered to the child’s home.
Individuals, families, and organizations can participate as follows:
One or more beds can be purchased for $350 each. This allows your team to attend the event and build the frames. If you prefer, your donation will allow a bed to be constructed by our volunteers in your name.
All other donations will be applied towards additional beds.
Beds will be allocated based on the order in which payments are received. To sponsor a bed or donate to this project, checks must be made payable to
Lynnfield Rotary Charitable Fund, Inc.

Join the Friends of the Lynnfield Library (FOLL) for the Spring Book sale on May 11, 2024 from 9am-2pm on the Lynnfield Common. Only books in excellent condition are sold with thousands to pick from - this is a great opportunity to add to your home library or book collection at prices you can't get off Amazon! Books are just $1-$3. Cash, Venmo, checks and Paypal are accepted.
The Friend's book sale is their biggest fundraiser providing significant support for our&nbsp;library and our community. Have you ever used a library museum pass? These&nbsp;discounted passes are thanks to the Friends of the Lynnfield Library. Two-thirds of all&nbsp;library programming is funded by the Friends of the Lynnfield Library - this includes the&nbsp;wildly popular weekly virtual yoga class, Bill Sano lectures, adult workshops, kid and&nbsp;teen activities, as well as the summer reading program, its kickoff, and end of challenge&nbsp;prizes. The Friends will be joined by many community groups, including the Historical Society&nbsp;providing free refreshments and a bake sale, Marketstreet, Lynnfield Mom’s Group, and so much more!
