More About Centre Congregational Church of Lynnfield
The Centre Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ, is an open and affirming church--meaning all religions, sexual orientations, ages and political parties are welcomed to worship at its weekly services. The church dates back to the 1700s, when the congregation met in the Lynnfield town meeting house. The church's current building, located in the center of town on Summer Street, was built in the 1960s. The church performs baptisims regularly on Sundays, hosts wedding services, teaches a weekly Bible school and holds weekly youth groups for middle and high school students. Its members participate in missionary programs all over the world and volunteer at local programs such as the Bread and Roses festival in Lawrence, MA and My Brother's Tabe in Lynn, MA. The church also runs the Tower Day School, a preschool and kindergarten.
