John Sage is a modern troubadour, a rocker with a hunger for the road, new faces and new ears. He hails from Boston where he has been active in the club circuit for over 10 years since booking his high school band into the city's rock mainstays such as The Middle East & T.T. the Bear's. The ensuing years brought more bands and larger venues. Striking out on his own, John gravitated towards 2+ years of hardcore street & subway performing to bring his performance skills to a level that raises the bar for "just another guy with a guitar." 2011 saw the worldwide digital release of John Sage's EP "Breaking The Silence", which is also available at live shows in CD format. The record itself combines impassioned vocals that balance tension overcoming restraint in a soaring tenor with fluid, percussive guitar work. Lyrically fresh, without being abstract, Breaking The Silence is a record for those who measure their music by songwriting & performance. The record itself takes cues from classic acts such as The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen as well as modern acts like Radiohead & Kings Of Leon.
