High School Drama Festival
High School Drama Festival – Saturday, March 3, Ferrini Dramatics Center
HWRHS is once-again serving as a host site for the preliminary round of the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s premier event, featuring one-act plays from 7 area high schools throughout the day. Tickets are $10.00 (to attend all day or less) and are only available at the door. Saturday’s schedule is as follows:
9:00 AM – Salem High School presents “Postponing the Heat Death of the Universe”
10:00 AM – Bedford High School presents “Next Stop Main Street” (original)
11:15 AM – Lynnfield High School presents “Cinderella Waltz”
12:15 PM – Gloucester High School presents “Lockdown”
2:00 PM – Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School presents “Making Sense” (original)
3:00 PM – Saugus High School presents “The Crane Wife”
4:30 PM – Malden Catholic High School presents “Bob’s Date”
Hamilton-Wenham is once again competing with a piece the students have written specifically for this year’s Festival. Three plays from Saturday’s preliminary round will be selected to then perform at the semi-finals on Saturday, March 10th."
More About Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School
Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School is the public high school for students in grades nine through 12 in the towns of Hamilton and Wenham. It shares a campus with the Miles River Middle School on Route 1A, north of Hamilton center. It shares a principal with the middle school.
The school's motto is, "A Passion for Learning." In addition to its academic program, the school offers numerous extracurricular programs including sports, arts, music and drama.
