DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Mothers Day with a great event. The Melrose Running
  Club  invites you to participate in the 15th running of the Melrose Run
   For Women on Sunday\, May 13th\, 2012 (Mothersday).\nThis family event
  has quickly become a  Melrose Mothers Day tradition drawing over 900 wo
 men. The main event is a 3.5  mile run/walk which winds through the scen
 ic and peaceful Swains Pond  section of the city. The race finishes up w
 ith children handing out  flowers\, a bounty of baked goods and coffee\,
  music\, and awards.\nAwards are given to the top finishers\, the first 
 mother and  grandmother to finish\, and best mother/daughter team finish
 ers. Awards  are also given to top age group finishers.\nA portion of yo
 ur entry fee is donated to the Melrose Alliance  Against Violence. MAAV 
 is a domestic violence prevention and education  organization in Melrose
 . Since the races inception in 1998 the Melrose  Running Club has donate
 d over $110\,000 to MAAV.\nThis race is truly a celebration of women of 
 all ages and abilities\,  you won&rsquo\;t want to miss it. Be sure to i
 nvite your mother\, your sisters\,  your daughters\, and your friends!\n
