All too often I have heard that question and my response is just that , Are you serious? Let’s just stop and think for a moment, what do you want out of a membership? I’m sure the treadmill can teach you self-defense , I am sure the free weights can teach you how ot block and kick and punch , oh & I am sure the elliptical can help you process your day and make you stronger mentally. I am also sure of another thing – The group classes definitely teach you how to spar and prepare you for real world scenarios. Now if you believe any of that, I have some land for sale. But in all seriousness, I think the gym membership can be a great compliment to any martial arts training, however, ITS NOT THE SAME!!! I challenge any one to try 2 weeks of martial arts training and tell me the difference between going to the gym and participating in a class. What is your goal? Weight loss, gain physical strength, find mental strength, increase abilities, find a great group of noncompetitive people to train with? Then here is your answer – CERVIZZI’S MARTIAL ARTS!
