Youths Kick Down Fence, Cause $800 In Damage

On Wednesday, August 3 at 12:46 a.m., police responded to a 911 hangup call.
At 3:17 a.m., an audible alarm was reported on Lowell Street.
At 7:02 a.m., a report of wires down was received from Russett Lane.
At 8:30 a.m., police received a report of motor vehicles operating erratically in the parking lot.
At 9:48 a.m., police notified Wakefield colleagues of an erratic operator heading toward their town.
At 10:18 a.m., a Lowell Street resident called about an audible alarm going off. The alarm company was informed.
At 11:06 a.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported at the
At 1:11 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Walnut Street.
At 1:22 p.m., a Philips Road resident called about a landscaping truck that was parked too close to the intersection. The individual moved his truck back.
At 2:41 p.m., police responded with the DPW to a water break on Salem Street.
At 6:57 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported in the Route 1 tunnel. Lynnfield's Rescue 1 transported one person to Union Hospital.
At 9:14 p.m., police cleared out a large group of youths from the Center Market area.
At 9:47 p.m., a Sylvan Circle resident reported that youths were trying to get into an unoccupied house.
At 10:17 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Forest Hill Ave.
At 10:30 p.m., police cleared a group from behind the Center Market stores.
At 10:41 p.m., a Lara Lane resident reported that a bluish pickup truck and a small black car, both occupied by youths, pulled up. From there, the youths got out and began kicking down a picket fence on her property, inflicting about $800 in damage, police said. The woman indicated this was the second time this had happened.
At 10:42 p.m., police cleared a group of teens and adults from the LHS parking lot.

On Thursday, August 4 at 9:54 a.m., police responded to a request for assistance from a Chestnut Street resident.
At 10:33 a.m., a Tappan Way resident called about solicitors in the area with no permits. They turned out to be Jehovah's Witnesses.
At 12:20 p.m., a tree limb was reported on Main Street near Merrow Road.
At 1:15 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred at Salem Street and Walnut Street.

At 10:54 p.m., a motorist reported that youths were standing at the side of the road on Lowell Street pretending to pull a rope as cars passed. They were gone when police arrived.
At 9:25 p.m., a Bourque Road resident called about a neighbor's dog that tends to run loose and charge at her and her own dog.
At 9:41 p.m., police cleared a group from behind the Center Court stores.
