Weekend Sees Arrests For OUI, Drugs
All information is provided by Lynnfield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service from Friday, Feb. 3 through Sunday, Feb. 5.
On Friday, Feb. 3 at 1:25 a.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported in the Christmas Tree Shop parking lot. It was gone on arrival.
At 6:31 a.m., police received a parking complaint from Archer Lane.
At 10:58 a.m., a caller near Grey Lane reported that a suspicious male had walked up her driveway and across her lawn before heading back up the street.
At 11:32 and 11:41 a.m., police checked out accidental 9-1-1 hangups.
At 4:47 p.m., police received a parking complaint about a limo on Essex Street. The vehicle turned out to be parked in a driveway with no plates.
At 5:35 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred at Salem Street and Broadway.
At 6:32 p.m., police issued a summons to a 31-year-old Lynn woman for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for failure to stop/yield.
At 6:44 p.m., an accident was reported near the Eastern Bank on Salem Street.
On Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1:14 a.m., an erratic operator was reported on Summer Street.
At 2:14 a.m., police arrested Albert J. Walling, 22, 304 Foxwoods Circle, Peabody, for operating under the influence of liquor and for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
At 9:59 a.m., an officer left a note on Laurel Road for a resident who reportedly had a basketball pole out by the road.
At 4:26 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported at the Lutheran Church. Police sent the occupants on their way.
At 4:32 p.m., police arrested Vittoria Powers, 31, of 31 Payson Street, Revere, for operating on a revoked license and for drug/narcotic violations. An officer had reportedly found her car running on Archer Lane while she was allegedly slumped over the steering wheel. After a couple of minutes, he was able to wake her and allegedly found some prescription drugs and a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.
At 7:03 p.m., police took a report from Olde Town Market about a threat from a customer and his friend.
At 7:41 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported near Thomas Road and Walnut Street. It turned out to be a woman with a brake problem waiting for her husband.
At 9:11 p.m., police took a motor vehicle complaint from near Reedy Meadow Golf Course.
At 10 p.m., a Fernway resident called about cars and activity at a neighbor's house. Police found all to be quiet.
On Sunday, Feb. 5 at 1:05 a.m., an erratic operator was reported. Police found the vehicle parked on a nearby street.
At 8:46 a.m., police checked an accidental 911 call.
At 3:13 p.m., a Locksley Road resident reported that three CDs were stolen from his unlocked vehicle.
At 3:17 p.m., an Archer Lane called about a speeding car in the neighborhood.
At 6:16 p.m., police placed a Revere woman into protective custody after she reportedly tried to drive away from the Ninety-Nine while heavily intoxicated.
At 10:02 p.m., a minor accident occurred at Elmwood and Summer Streets.
