Two Stiff Cab Driver, Hide In House

Information provided by the Lynnfield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, April 13 and Sunday, April 15.

On Friday, April 13 at 12:56 p.m., police took a forgery report. From there, they issued a summons to a 29-year-old Lynnfield man for forgery of a check and for uttering a false check.
At 2:44 p.m. police were called to Townsend Road over a neighbor disturbance involving a large wall of brush along a property line.
At 9:20 p.m., a large group of youths were reported to be causing a disturbance at the Center Court shops.
At 11:44 p.m., a suspicious pickup truck was reported at a construction site on Salem Street.

On Saturday, April 14 at 2:33 a.m., a cab driver reported that he had driven two males in their 20s from Boston to Lynnfield. The two had apparently jumped out of the cab and run away, refusing to pay a fare of $55.40. An officer recognized the description of the two individuals provided by the cab driver and proceeded to a residence on Main Street where he thought they may be found. The officer reported spotting one of the males watching television through a window and knocked at the door. The male apparently proceeded to hide and pretend that nobody was home, refusing to come to the door. Police planned to follow up with the matter later.
At 8:22 a.m., a large pipe was reported in the road on Salem Street. An officer and a resident moved it.
At 11:37 a.m., a minor accident occurred at the Christmas Tree Shop.
At 2:14 p.m., a burglary was reported on Walnut Street. A caller spotted some youths getting into a car at the scene and Wakefield police were also informed.
At 10:07 p.m., a disturbance was reported near Locksley Road.
At 10:53 p.m., a caller reported a possible  break-in on Pyburn Road.

On Sunday, April 15 at 12:12 a.m., a disturbance was reported at Heritage Woods.
At 12:28 a.m., a loud party was reported on Westover Drive.
At 2:38 p.m., police were informed of a gold Mercedes that had been parked all night in a handicapped zone at Lynnfield Commons.
At 5:16 p.m., police took a call from Bali Hai regarding a dispute with a customer.
At 5:35 p.m., police performed a well-being check on Carter Road.
At 5:55 p.m., a man with three rafts tied together with a tent pitched on top was spotted out on Suntaug Lake. Peabody Police were informed as well, since it is a public drinking water supply. The man was apparently paddling toward the island in the lake.
At 7 p.m., the man from the above entry returned to the Lynnfield side of Lake Suntaug and police spoke with him. He was unaware that the lake is a drinking water supply.
At 8:10 p.m., a possible drunk driver was reported heading off Route 128 onto Walnut Street.
At 8:30 p.m., some youths were reportedly throwing things at cars on Moulton Drive. They were located at Newhall Park and sent on their way.
At 9:16 p.m., a loud bang was reported in the parking lot of Lynnfield Commons, as well as a flash and some people heading inside afterward.
At 10:12 p.m., some youths were reportedly throwing something in the road near Locksley Road.
