Town Voters Pick New School Committee Members, Assessor

Chris Barrett and Sal Cammarata are newest members of Lynnfield School Committee. Don Garrity elected assessor.

Along with deciding the selectman's race, Lynnfield voters sent two new members to the school committee on Monday night, and also elected a new assessor.

For the school committee, Christopher Barrett and Salvatore Cammarata are the two newest members, replacing outgoing members Michael Craffey and Tim Doyle. Former school committee member Jim Dillon came up short in his bid to return to the committee he served on for 15 years before leaving two years ago.

Looking ahead, Barrett said he was "totally humbled" by the show of support from town voters, adding that "I hope to use that confidence to work to make sure that our schools remain Lynnfield's pride."

In the assessor's race, Don Garrity won over Harry Lecours. "I'm just so happy to be able to get in there and help out," Garrity said after the vote results were hung up at Lynnfield High School on Monday night.
