Then And Now: The Spinney Store

Each week, Lynnfield Patch runs a photo from the archives of the Lynnfield Historical Society and compares it to what's there today.

Spinney's store was onean establishment that stood in the Route 1 area of Lynnfield, and along with being a store, there was also apparently some shoe manufacturing that went on in the building.

A search on Google brings up a reference to the store in the Warren Falls photo history of Lynnfield book. In that book, Falls reports that the building that once housed Spinney's store was moved around 1920 to a spot behind the  Eastern Bank off of Route 1 and is now a private residence. The former location of the building was reportedly the Southwest corner of the Route 1 and Salem Street intersection.
