Santa arrives in style to the Country Store at the Meeting House in the early 1960's!

This week's "Then" image actually ran in the middle of another photo gallery late last week that was provided by the Lynnfield Historical Society. But bear with me. The black and white image goes back to the 1960s, when the Country Store was still a brand new holiday event in town and when Santa was apparently dropped off at the town common by some local dignitary not driving a fire truck.

The "Now" image is noteworthy because it was taken at the 50th annual Country Store, illustrating how many of Lynnfield's longstanding traditions continue on to this day.

Don't know who Santa is, but I think his chauffeur is Charlie Wills!
