Tell Us: What Former Lynnfield Business Do You Miss The Most?

As we head into a new year, with a new business era on the horizon for Lynnfield - what former town businesses do you miss?

In 2012, Lynnfield came close to losing what may be its most longstanding business when Pocahontas Spring Water almost shut down. Otherwise, a lot of this year's business news focused on what's coming up in town later in 2013 - particularly, future tenants at the Market Street at Lynnfield project.

In just a few short weeks, longtime local landmark The Ship is also set to re-open its doors, which will generate its own share of area media attention.

But one thing about a new year - it's as good a time to look back as it is to look forward. So with that, I ask you: Is there a Lynnfield business that closed down within the past few years that you miss or recall fondly? Answer in the comments box below!

I miss Karen's Bakery Monkey Bread the most. Lynnfield is just not the same without it! Others have tried, but do not come close.

Jack,
Well depends on what you like, The Kernwood, definitely had the best prime rib and Delmonico potatoes. Goodwins, had the best fried clams, the only place that comes close is Farnum's in Essex. How about Good Luck Farm, always a great BBQ chicken. New England Oyster House, excellent seafood. And of course the Colonial, With any luck we can replace all these fabulous restaurants at Market Street.

You hit the nail right on the head, Jack, about the BBQ chicken at Good Luck Farm and the prime rib and Delmonico potatoes at Kernwood. I've been trying to duplicate their recipe with no luck...anyone know it? How does Farnum's compare to Woodman's fried clams?
