Report: Davio's Opens In Town Next October
Upscale Italian restaurant eyes October, 2013 opening in Lynnfield, reports the Boston Herald.
Upscale Italian restaurant Davio's plans to open in October 2013 in Lynnfield's Market Street project, according to a Boston Herald report this week.
The Herald noted that the Lynnfield location of Davio's will seat about 250 people and that the company founder is former longtime town resident Steve DeFillippo. The restaurant CEO also told the newspaper that the Lynnfield location, his sixth restaurant, will largely resemble the one in Boston, except that it will have a patio.
Of course, as many town residents are aware, the Davio's story was actually reported by the Lynnfield Weekly News several weeks ago.
This would be the fourth announced major tenant for the Market Street project. Months ago, Market Street reported that Whole Foods, Legal C Bar and King's, an arcade/family entertainment business, were opening at the site.
In a December update, this website quoted National Development Managing Partner Ted Tye as telling town selectmen that leasing for the project is "incredibly strong," although he declined to announce further businesses for competitive reasons. "We have a terrific group of tenants that are committing to this project," Tye said at a December selectmen's meeting.
This website also checked back in with Tye after a planning board meeting in late March. He told Lynnfield Patch that site work, including ground leveling work and the construction of a berm near Walnut Street, would be getting underway in late April. That work stage is expected to last about four and a half months, he told Lynnfield Planning Board members last month.
