PHOTOS: In The Skies Over Lynnfield
Got photos to share with the community? Email them to william.laforme@patch.com.
Over the past couple of months, Lynnfield resident Suzy Julian has sent in some great photos of the various birds, including bald eagles, that can be spotted in the sky over town on any given day. Be sure to check the website out on Monday as well when we run a followup gallery featuring more of Suzy's photography.

More wonderful pictures...thank you! Does anyone know what kind of hawk this is?
I've seen them in my backyard (we have lots of feeders for the little birds)...I know hawks have to eat, too, but, jeesh...NIMBY!

Up over Peabody there are some huge, huge birds of prey. I think they are eagles, but these creatures fly so high it is hard to tell. These are awesome pictures. I still have the one of the eagle as my desktop though. Bill hasn't come up with one that can replace it, yet.
Thanks much.

Don I've been putting off going out to get a new photo gallery for several months it seems now. I'm hoping to head out next week and get some new ones. But these eagles are incredible, I think I stick more to landscapes because they actually stay still...

It was a Red Tail Hawk Nikki, but there is also a Hawk Bird thats a smaller version that likes to hang out at birdfeeders to ambush the little birds.....

Thanks, Suzy. I think that smaller hawk you see might be a sharp-shinned hawk.
Re the eagles, have you been able to spot their nest? Am wondering if they could be raising a family...wouldn't that be neat!
