PHOTOS: A Study Of Pillings Pond

Part of an ongoing series of photos highlighting the open spaces of Lynnfield.

This weekend, I did some work for another story in Lynnfield and happened to be passing by Pillings Pond as the sun was starting to start and as the rain was coming to an end - and in photography, that's a recipe for some great shots. Usually when the sky looks like this I find myself a good distance away from any camera. But that wasn't the case this time, and a stop at the Pillings Pond dock yielded a nice little photo gallery. One or two other galleries of the town's open spaces are also available to run in the coming days.

If you have some outdoor shots taken in Lynnfield to share with the community, please feel free to send them to william.laforme@patch.com.

In your photos of Pillings Pond, I cannot help but notice the difference in the water clarity versus Crytal Pond in Peabody which is overloaded with algae! Does Peabody need more chemicals in the water? Are they harmful to the wildlife such as swans?
