Lynnfield has a fair amount of wildlife if you know where to look - but sometimes, you don't need to even leave the house to spot it. Lynnfield resident Jenna Zanni photographed these two young deer in her yard as they stopped by to snack on some holly.

They moved on to eat Jenna's shrubbery because they ran out of mine...

Please don't hurt them or kill them - this is their way of surviving the winter. Your shrubs can be replaced. They are not more important than the deer's lives.

No, if they actually needed our shrubs to survive then we have already made a hideous mistake of not managing their population thus making them vulnerable to winters with thick snow packs. The real reason they eat our shrubs is because they've discovered that it's easy food. In reality there is plenty of natural food for them, especially in years of shallow snow pack like this one.

Deer management is essential and a lot of work goes into it, here's an example for PA http://www.deerandforests.org/resources/History%20of%20Deer%20Population%20Trends.pdf

"Says the heartless deer killer." Shame on you. "Deer management"... that's a bunch if BS. I don't care about your studies and resources...these are kind, loving, sweet- living breathing souls- much like dogs and they are the most innocent of creatures. You obviously could care less about anyone but yourself..and it shows.

You obviously hunt and kill for fun- you disgust me.
