Sunrise of Lynnfield held a Successful Chili Cook-off Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Disease on Wednesday, September 21st.  There were 7 entries and some stiff competition, but in the end the coveted Chili trophy went to Sunrise of Lynnfield’s own Activity & Volunteer Coordinator, Priscilla Geaney.

The entire week was filled with various fundraising & educational activities all geared to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease, give resources to those in need, and to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease on Oct 2nd in which Sunrise of Lynnfield participates in annually. Anyone interested in joining “Team Sunrise” in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is encouraged call Tracy at 781-245-0668.

We had a great time at the walk today despite the weather! A special thanks to all of the dedicated Sunrise staff members who participated on their own time, and to all of the folks who made donations. Such a worthy cause.
