Needle and Syringe Reported Found on Sidewalk

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, January 7th and Tuesday, January 8th.
On Monday, January 7th at 5:31 a.m. a coyote was reported struck in the road near Heritage Lane.
At 7:56 a.m., an accident was reported on Route 1 South near the tunnel in Lynnfield. State Police responded to the scene and three individuals were transported to an area hospital.
At 2:57 p.m. a deer was reported struck on Chestnut Street.
At 5:16 p.m., an officer gave a written warning for speeding on Brook Drive.
At 10:02 p.m., a deer was reported struck on Chestnut Street.
On Tuesday, January 8th at 1:22 p.m. a parking complaint came in from Essex Street.
At 1:37 p.m. a spoon and hypodermic syringe were reported found on a sidewalk on Forest Hill Ave.
At 5 p.m. a vehicle was reported parked on Bluejay Road for several days. An officer noted that it had a flat tire and would contact the owner.
At 6:40 p.m. an individual set off a burglar alarm on Locksley Road checking on their neighbor's dog.

Dog waste deposited on our sidewalks by filthy dog walkers can spread disease just like hypodermic syringes. This town needs to wake up and take action against these violators of our health.
