Meet The Newest Teachers In The Lynnfield School District

On Thursday, the newest teachers in the Lynnfield School District were at the middle school preparing for the coming year and getting a photograph or two with some local media types.

These photos show the new teachers by their respective schools in town.  And below is a list of the new teachers and a bit about their background, as provided by the Lynnfield School District:

 

Huckleberry Hill        

John Davison - Grade 1

Masters in Elem. Teaching – Simmons College                                   

Has been in Lynnfield for 3 years: 2 yrs. as

paraprofessional and 1 yr. as a student teacher

 

Lindsay Driscoll - Grade 3           

Masters in Elem. Education – Lesley University

Had previously been in Lynnfield for 3 yrs.:

2 yrs. as Grade 3 teacher and I yr. as a paraprofessional                                                                                                                                                                                             

Molly Tremblay - SPED           

Masters in Moderate Special Education (Prek-8) – Simmons College

Has been at the John D. Runkle School in Brookline for the last 2 yrs.

in various capacities such as; inclusion support for ASD/PDD programs, teacher assistant in after school social skills group and  inclusion support in the ASD/PDD program.

Alexandra Caram - Media Specialist

Masters of Library Science – Simmons College

Last year student taught at Martin Luther King, Jr. (K-8) in Cambridge and

Concord-Carlisle High School

 

Emily Janakas - SPED – Kindergarten

Masters of Education – Merrimack College

Last year was a paraprofessional in Lynnfield – Grade 2

 

Yota Kariotis – Art

Masters in Art Education – Mass College of Art and Design

She as been an art teacher at the Driscoll School in Brookline for 6 years and most recently worked at the Newtowne School in Cambridge as the resident artist

 

Katie Kerrigan - SPED

Masters in Developmental Disabilities – University of Rochester, NY

For 5 yrs. She was a Special Education/Basic Skills Teacher at the Thorpe Elementary School in Danvers.  Last year she was a Language-Based Classroom Teacher a the Willard Elementary School in Concord

 

Middle School 

 

Kerry Bronnenkant - Grade 6 Science

Masters of Museum Education and Evaluation – Lesley University

She has predominately worked at the New England Aquarium for 7 yrs.

as the Supervisor of Overnight programs, On-Site program manager and as an educator for elementary grades on Marine Science

 

Kathleen Comer – SPED

Masters of Ed. Special Needs – Endicott College

She has worked in Lynnfield as both a paraprofessional and as a teacher

 

Melinda Connelly - Grade 7 Math

Masters in Ed. Curriculum and Instruction – Plattsburgh State University, New York

She has taught Math in New York for 6 yrs. and most recently 4 yrs. at Andover High School

 

Erin Frink - Grade 5 English

Masters in Middle School Education and English – Gordon College

Last year she completed her full practicum and student teaching at Ipswich Middle School

 

Kaitlin Kilbride - Grade 6 Math

Masters of Education – Salem State College

She worked a full year as a long term substitute classroom teacher at the Lynnfield Middle School  last year

 

Elizabeth Karakashian - Grade 7+8 Math

Masters of Arts in Teaching Mathematics – Bridgewater State College

She has worked the last 3 yrs. at Stoughton High School as a mathematics teacher

 

Lindsay Roeder - Grade 6 English

Masters of Arts in Teaching Elementary Ed. 1- 6 – Simmons College

Last year participated in a co-teaching 3rd grade internship at Amos. A Lawrence School in Brookline

 

Veronica Rogers - Grade 5 English

Masters of Arts in Teaching – Simmons College

Did her student teaching last year at Bowman Elementary School in Lexington

 

Kathleen Stevens - Grade 5 Science

Masters of Arts in Teaching – Simmons College

Last year participated in a co-teaching 4th grade internship at West Elementary School in Andover

 

High School

Emily Robichaud – English

Masters in Modern English Literature – University of Dublin, Ireland

For the last 2 yrs. she has taught English at the Performing and Fine Arts High School in Lawrence

Mary Kate Adams – ESL teacher

Masters of Education - Students with Moderate Disabilities – Cambridge College

In progress – Masters of Education, ESL – Salem State College

For the past 5 yrs. she has been an ESL Teacher at Salem High School

 

Christina Fabiano – Preschool/Elementary Special Education Team Chairperson

CAGS degree in Educational Leadership – Salem State College

Masters of Education - Lesley University

For the past 4 yrs. she has been the Special Education Coordinator at the East Gloucester Elementary School

 

Keri Wood – Behavior Analyst

Masters of Education, Special Ed. Severe Disabilities – Fitchburg State College

Behavioral Intervention in Autism – Board Certified Behavior Analyst – UMASS Lowell

Spent 6 yrs. at the May Institute for Child Development as a Senior Teacher/Educational Case Manager
