Lynnfield Art Guild Has Upcoming Auction, Watercolor Demo

Lynne Cassinari Demonstrates in Watercolor for the Lynnfield Art Guild Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at the Lynnfield Senior Center.

The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is proud to continue its season with a demonstration in watercolor by local artist Lynne Cassinari on Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at 525 Salem Street () in Lynnfield.  A 1980 Univ. of Mass graduate, Lynne Cassinari of Reading has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with concentrations in printmaking and art education.  She has taught drawing, printmaking and photography at Gloucester High School and photography and animation at Milton Academy.

Cassinari has worked in the black & white world of etching and photography and began her exploration of color with watercolor painting. She paints in the watercolor and oil mediums in both plein air and the studio.   Lynne recently had several shows in the North Shore area and Boston, including a show at Fidelity Investments.

The public is invited to attend this and all monthly LAG demonstrations, which include refreshments and the opportunity to meet area artists.  Doors open at 6:45 PM.  The LAG has over 200 members in art, crafts and photography from over 25 area communities.

Many members are participating with their artwork in the annual Art in Bloom at Lynnfield Public Library opening April 11th through the 15th. Watch for news about the April 28 LAG annual auction to benefit a scholarship for a graduating Lynnfield High School senior.

LAG membership also includes the privilege of participating in both the winter show and spring judged show which will be held on Saturday May 21st in the Lynnfield Meeting House. For further information about this demonstration or any of the Guild activities, please call 781-334-6765.
