Lynnfield is among the top 20 school districts in Massachusetts when it comes to high school graduation rates, according to data from the state department of education.
In a table on the state DOE website, Lynnfield has a 97.2% high school graduation rate. Elsewhere on the North Shore, Masconomet had a 99.1% rate, trailing only three charter schools that each had 100% rates.
For 2011, Lynnfield had a 1.1% dropout rate while 0% of students got their GED, out of a total of 179 students in the graduating class.
In contrast, state leaders in high school dropout rates such as Holyoke, Springfield and Lawrence were all in the 25% vicinity. In Massachusetts, the statewide high school graduation rate for 2011 was 83.4%.
Nearby, North Reading had a 91.8% graduation rate last year, Wakefield was at 93.1%, Reading was 95.9%, Peabody was 80.8%, and Lynn was 68.6%.
