In the spirit of mid-September, it seems fitting to run some good photos shot during what felt like a faster than usual summer. In fact, here's a look back at what readers sent in last winter when it seemed like some photos of sunny and warm days were needed. That link also includes a photo I shot last year of what may be one of the most scenic campsites on the Eastern Seaboard, up in Harrington, Maine.

To get things rolling, here are three photos I shot during a recent seven-day,  1,000 mile road trip around the Bay of Fundy by way of Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia - a journey that yielded something like 400 photos, some of them fairly stunning.
